- Acatenango volcano: 3,936 meters of altitude
- It is a stratovolcano in Guatemala, near the city of Antigua Guatemala. The volcano has two peaks, el Pico más alto and Yepocapa (3.880 meters), which it is also know as Three Sisters. Acatenango Volcano meets the Fuego Volcano. This volcanic complex is also know as La Horqueta.
|9:00 A.M.||Departure from Antigua Guatemala, where you will take a short time to review what goes before starting the climb. It is necessary about 6 o 7 hours to climb the volcano, all depends on your physical condition. On arrival, you relax and wait for the sunset and admire the beautiful view. On this step, you can take some nice photography with your camera.|
|9:00 A.M.||Arrival to the top of the volcano Yepocapa or Las Tres Marías, with altitude of 3,800 meters. Setting up the camp where you will sleep the night.|
|11:00 A.M.||Arrival at Antigua Guatemala.|
Bring your camera, clothing for cold, flashlight, water (3 liters per person) food, closed shoes. To climb is better done it in shirt and short. The equipment mentioned need to be in a nylon backpack because it may rain.
